Brain Dead
I promised myself I wouldn't work on my new story AT ALL today because I literally, physically exhausted myself with it yesterday. I really did. I got back from class around 6:30, made some some dinner, popped in Ratatouille for something different to do, then fell asleep half way through it. I woke up this morning at 9:30a-10a. I remember making myself change snoozing locations from the couch to my bed at some time last night, but holy shit I slept for 14 HOURS! Dude-man-bro! :O
I also had some weird dream with the TW cast involved that turned into one of those "half woken up but still dreaming" moments. I remember I was flat on my back, arms sprawled out to my sides, head tossing back and forth as I was seeing hundreds of rapid-flashed images before my eyes. I was quite lucid enough to have it feel all to real and know that in reality I was really lying in that position on my bed. I slightly started to panic, tossed a bit harder before I saw Ianto leaning over from my right (could see the med bay behind him when I looked over, but when I looked straight ahead could see my bedroom. Very disorienting let me assure you!), then heard Jack on my left very clearly stop him with: "It's fine. She's just processing a whole lot of images at the moment. It's normal. It's almost over." Then saw Ianto nod and lean away. That was it, I then passed back out and woke up around 9:30a.
So, it's official. I'm some kind of Torchwood experiment.
Explains a lot really.
:D
I've been happily catching up on my TV shows today.
Fringe was quality again. Between Walter reprimanding Peter for eating a cheeseburger in front of the Lab!Cow (priceless father/son moment) to Olivia being kick-ass and still hobbling around on a cane, the episode was well paced and teased just enough (Leonard Nemoy's MOUTH!) and in the right places. I WANT MORE! But am able to patiently wait until next week to get it. They also gave Astrid decent lines and screen time! She's really cute and I wish they would bring her into more stories than just Walter's babysitter. Seriously, she is the female Ianto of this show. Watch. She's going to be omg!important later.
Bones was so much better than that crap season premier. I didn't pay attention to who wrote this episode, but YES! This is the Bone's I've been watching and wanting. I mean, it wasn't overboard awesome, but it was worth my time to watch it. I'm sure someone will disagree with me about the ending (it was kinda a "hey, we just realized we ran out of time...uh, THIS GUY DID IT! ....believe us. Please?) but I still liked the emotion of the story and ending. Best moment though was Booth pulling the "favorite uncle" moment. I love you Booth.
What else have I watched today to slack off? ... OH YES. Supernatural. But it was an older episode from last season since I am trying to catch up on it. Some people get upset with how women are treated in this show. I agree that we aren't, er, fully respected as we could be, but there is something about this show I get addicted to. I dunno. It's like a guilty pleasure to watch it. It's that feeling of getting away with something you know you shouldn't be doing. So, yeah, fun show, still going to spend my time on it.
I have my list of things I wanted to accomplish today. One being the stack of dishes in the sink I haven't had time or energy to tackle. I have the time today before work still. YOU'RE GOING DOWN PLATES!! Rawr. You're already soaking in the Doom Bath (tm) as I write this. Your time is limited! MuwahahAHAHAhaa. Er, yeah. Motivation, that's all it is. I swear.
"Glorious 39" released a trailer. I am loling over all the fangirls crying at the fact David Tennant dies in this. Maybe I'm a masochist, but honestly, the man is a brilliant actor and I would love to see him in this role. It's going to be amazing especially with the cast in it. Bill Nighy in this genre alone has sold me a ticket. I'm a sucker for period movies like this.
Ok, kids! Here is your random knowledge for the day. This is brought to you from my crazy *German* professor for Women in Film. She was replying to a student's complaint when I suddenly hear her reply "Lie back and think of England!" I about choked myself trying to hold in my laughter (which I did, thank you!). So, here's what that phrase actually means.

Here is what you missed that I squee about:
Gareth David-Lloyd is Watson helping Sherlock fight monsters in London. Apparently this is being done by the same people who brought us "Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus" (thank youcopperbadge)... make your bets now folks. (I'm still seeing it >>)

And now. I'm going to actually do something on my To Do List. I want to make Ianto proud because he's obviously watching over me in some astral Hub. LOL!

(I'm sure I can hear Soku cursing the injustices of the world that it was only dream off in the distance, haha!)
No wonder Alucard has his POWERFUL!scowl on! I would too, if I had my world view blocked by a yellow sticky note! Poor thing. Being defeated by a Tea Boy's archiving skillz.
