Awesome day!

This morning I had a coffee meeting with my old film mentor, Prof-L, and my good friend J. I seriously owe SO much to J, as she's been the one to keep me in the loop as far as film work is concerned. Now we're both seriously discussing our next big step: moving to LA!!


 This morning in the closest Starbucks to campus, Prof-L answered all of our questions about where to live with a promise of giving us a whole list of contacts for job opportunities. I think what made my day however, was when I explained the idea of me going for a liberal degree just to freaking graduate already. She said she would help me regardless of what degree I was getting!! This woman is too awesome for words. Seriously.

Oh. Apparently I've been screwed over by my advisor again. Prof-L was more angered than shocked at my explanation as to why I wasn't getting into the BFA program. Advisor-Fail set me up on the Cinema Studies track then told me because I was switching from DIG I had a small percentage chance to get into the program. On my most recent meeting that small percentage had dwindled to zero. So she said. Which, actually, is kinda OK because god I want to graduate ASAP! According to Prof-L, she shouldn't have said that because I had the same chance as any other applicant. Too late now though, as I've already taken the Cinema Studies classes.

The rest of my day then turned into Super!Temp Donna style as I was stuck in email Hell for over an hour. I'm now part of a really cool programming project call IV Office that is trying to be the Microsoft Office equivelant of an entire film production. It's like taking Office and the Google bundle and mating them. Fun stuff! After getting that straightened out, I then got my Theatre class organized AND all the family info to start my trip to LA in the summer. I'm hoping I can arrange it for J to come visit for a week or so as she hasn't even been out there yet!! ...Wut?

Oi vey. I also got my room more organized, talked to an energy guy about inspecting my home to lower my energy bill, had lunch with K and her boyfriend, updated the MegaCon crew and now I'm at work from 8p-Midn. Ugh. Unless one event gets out later and then I'll be here until 1:30a!!

Yeah, we'll see how successful this turns out. Why can't I have awesome organized days everyday? I'll stop babbling now as I want to nap (at work) before our biggest room turn around at 10p.
